Promat have acquired fellow fire protection specialists Cafco International for an undisclosed sum.
The company say the acquisition will widen its product range and its geographical reach.
“This acquisition fits in well with Promat’s strategy of diversification and growth within the field of passive fire protection and high temperature insulation,” said managing director of Promat UK Limited John Stevenson.
“The inclusion of Cafco International in the Promat portfolio will provide strong synergies in product development, and facilitate further geographical expansion worldwide,” he added. “The Cafco brand is highly respected and the acquisition brings together two of the key companies who drive and shape the fire protection industry around the world.”
Cafco managing director David Hay is equally positive: “We’re looking forward to joining Promat. We’re both leaders in the market; together we’re offering an unbeatable line-up of high performance products and technical expertise.”
The takeover was concluded last month after receiving the green light from regulators and shareholders.
