Polypipe marks 40th year with award success

To kick off its 40^th year, Polypipe, the UK’s leading manufacturer of above and below ground drainage and plastic plumbing systems, has scooped an award in the Doncaster Business Awards.

Polypipe Building Products was named ‘Large Business of the Year’ as Doncaster Chamber of Commerce hosted its annual business awards. Polypipe was also runner-up in the ‘Excellence in People Development’ category.

The Polypipe team picked up their prize during a prestigious ceremony, at Doncaster Racecourse, with the judges commending the company’s innovation, diversification and ambitious vision. The panel also recognised the “significant contributions to Doncaster’s business and education sectors” as well as their work with the wider community.

Cameron McLellan, divisional managing director, Polypipe Residential Systems at Polypipe Building Products, said: “We were delighted to receive this award on behalf of the whole Polypipe family. The judges recognised both the forward-thinking ambition of the company and the commitment to our local community.

“It’s a great way to start the celebrations as we mark Polypipe’s 40^th anniversary in 2020.”

On top of their local success Polypipe Building Products is also on the shortlist for the Yorkshire Business Masters for 2020.

Polypipe is in with a chance of winning another Large Business of the Year prize as well as awards for Innovation and Contributing the Community.
