Polypipe buys Silavent

Plastic building materials manufacturer Polypipe has acquired the goodwill and assets of the Silavent group.
The acquisition will sit alongside Polypipe ventilation’s existing Domus brand and the company believes it will “significantly widen Polypipe’s offering in the ventilation market”.

David Hall, CEO Polypipe, says: “Silavent is a well established and well regarded brand and we feel that under Polypipe’s ownership we can grow the business over the coming years. This acquisition provides us with an opportunity to build upon the brand and ensures that the well established customer base will continue to have access to Silavent products and expertise.”

“The changing sustainability agenda and consequent changes to Building Regulations is putting greater and greater emphasis on the need to provide cost effective, sustainable ventilation solutions and transforming the way developers and specifiers achieve these requirements. Polypipe intends to be at the centre of this trend, providing differentiated solutions both in the private and social housing sectors to achieve these emerging environmental standards.”
