Plumb Center launches apprenticeship scheme

Plumbers merchant Plumb Center and sister company Parts Center are to launch their own apprenticeship programme.
The structured two-year programme from the Wolseley brands will recruit up to 25 apprentices across the rest of 2010 and into 2011, with the majority of the recruits working within Plumb Center and Parts Center.

Other Wolseley UK businesses will be implementing a similar programme over the coming months.

All apprentices enrolled in the programme will complete a Level Two Apprenticeship in Customer Service in year one, and a Level Three Advanced Apprenticeship in Customer Service in year two.

“A well-structured apprenticeship programme will bring countless benefits to both the apprentices and the company offering the programme,’ said Plumb Center managing director Keith Jones.

“Our successful apprentices will be given the opportunity of gaining real-life work experience and valuable on-the-job training and in turn, we will ensure the business is equipped with the right people, who have the right skills.”
