Carvers are back. In a big way.
This is the week we’ve been waiting for .. it’s Launch Week !
This Saturday (8th November) sees the official launch of our brand new facility.
We’ve come a massively long way, jumped over many hurdles and passed many milestones to get there. The journey to recovery has been a long one, but we’ve enjoyed every step. The determination of the Directors and staff has been the driving force to get us back on our feet.
The final stage of our £4m rebuild programme, our new Builders Village is complete and ready to open its doors to our customers.
We are delighted to welcome franchises; Dixon Paints, Tile Choice, Chandlers Roofing and Rayton Electrical into the Carver fold, making Carvers the complete one stop shop for tradesmen and retail customers ! The two storey Dixon showroom is a welcome addition and covers all manner of decorating materials including Farrow and Ball and more specialist paints and wallpapers. The Tile Choice showroom, conveniently located next to the Bathroom showroom includes a huge range of wall and floor tiles and accessories.
An Information point is located at the store entrance with a team of staff ready to help and with a well thought out layout and specialist trade counters offering a complete range of power tools, workwear, ironmongery and electrical products, there certainly is something to cover every job.
The new facility officially opens this Saturday (8th November) with a VAT Free Family Fun Day. Local radio station, Signal 107 will be on hand with music and promotions and with free giveaways, goody bags and a bouncy castle and face painters to keep the kids amused.
We’ve had such fun in the marketing office (aka third portcabin on the left!) with our exciting new campaign by promoting the next instalment of our ‘story’ with a blockbuster of a billboard, signalling our return with posters proclaiming: ‘Carvers 2 the Return’ and a line-up of staff workers who put top stars like Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt and Cameron Diaz to shame !
A new radio and bus advertising campaign follows, along with a series of short film teasers, all building the audience and creating something to talk about !
It’s all a little bit different, a little bit new .. (loving the smell of fresh paint !), but that is simply the beauty of it. Whilst a fire on the scale of ours would have spelt the end of many firms, instead this disaster was turned around and used as a springboard for a brand new start.
New innovations including a Drive Through Trade Warehouse and Builders Village have secured a bright future for us.
Our MD Henry Carver comments “… I am sure as we enter our new home we will all reap the benefits and know that the challenges we have faced since the fire will not only have a happy ending but will help us build a better business for the future”.
Yes Henry, Carvers is definitely back on the radar .. and back for the future !
