Peppard builds online presence

The builder’s merchant re-launched its website at the beginning of 2013, and has since seen significant growth in online visitors and enquiries.

Ru Butler, sales and marketing director at Peppard Building Supplies said: “We were impressed with what the website achieved in such a short space of time. Thanks to it, and our social media presence, we’ve seen a strong rise in traffic.”

The company, based in Dunsden near Henley, analysed its web statistics to further improve its customer experience.

“As a result of our analysis we have added more product lines, and information, especially on our most popular lines. and enabled our customers to set up and create an online account, where they can keep a check on spending, products and invoices,” Butler said.

The changes have seen more than 70 products and images added to the Peppard Building Supplies website, along with a re-organisation of categories to make products easier to find. It also has an area for customers to set up and control their own accounts.

“Our research has shown that more of our customers browse on their mobile phone or tablet device, so we have adapted the website to make it mobile friendly.

“All of our pages now automatically resize, to make images and information as clear as possible, whatever the device.”

Information and promotions are also regularly added to the Peppard Building Supplies’ social media pages including Twitter, Facebook and Google+.
