Pegler Yorkshire invest

Yorkshire based taps, valves and fittings manufacturers Pegler Yorkshire are to acquire a purpose-built ‘state-of-the-art’ warehouse as part of their business development plans.
The new warehouse will service both the Leeds and Doncaster factories, acting as the main hub of the group’s UK distribution.

An estimated 200 million taps, valves and fittings will go through the facility every year once operational and it will handle £1bn of product over the next five years.

The move means that Pegler brands like Terrier, Performa and Prestex will be processed and despatched from one central location.

Practical completion of the project is scheduled for the end of November 2009 and once constructed, the new warehouse will provide 104,000sq ft of covered area.

Final fitting out will be in March 2010, with the warehouse becoming fully operational by the second quarter of 2010.
