Over the course of 2011 Parkers staff raised the money through a variety of events, including some gruelling and daring challenges.

The funds will be used to help fund a new Teenage Cancer Trust unit at the Royal Marsden Hospital.

Stewart Pierce, Finance Director at Parker Building Supplies, said: “Our teams have run, walked, climbed, punched and parachuted their way to an excellent fundraising total and when you see the fantastic work of Teenage Cancer Trust, it has all been so worthwhile. The Trust works to give young people affected by cancer a normal life and access to the best possible care, and we are thrilled to be able to help in this life changing work.

“The new Teenage Cancer Trust unit at the Royal Marsden will be a stunning facility, tailor made for youngsters’ needs, and it is great to know we have helped in a small way to maintain the work

carried out there.”

Louise Scott, Regional Fund raiser in East Sussex and Kent, said “With no Government funding, we could not do what we do without the amazing support of companies such as Parker Building Supplies. Their creativity, passion and generosity to support the charity has been inspirational”.

Teenage Cancer Trust focuses on the needs of teenagers and young adults with cancer by providing

specialist units in NHS hospitals designed to give young people the very best chance of a positive outcome.
