Output uplift causes block delays

Construction is being hit by a shortage of aerated and lightweight blocks with delivery times of up to three months currently being quoted by manufacturers.
An upturn in the private housing market has caused a shortage of blocks, with delivery and production delays.

Construction Enquirer reports Thermalite manufacturer Hanson as quoting up to eight to 10 weeks for supply.
