Onwards and upwards for William Wilson

Wolseley-owned plumbing and heating merchant William Wilson has reported a 7% rise in turnover in 2007 from heating and plumbing products, taking them to £72m.
The year saw innovation from the company, including the launch of a brand new concept, William Wilson Express, and the introduction of the company’s own brand range of bathroom suites.

And the coming year looks set to continue in the same vein. Next month sees the opening of the company’s new showroom in Dundee. This follows the flagship showroom in Hillington, Glasgow, which opened in December. The company now has 11 bathroom showrooms throughout Scotland.

Brand director Luisa Campbell said that the company was delighted with the results. “We’ve had a very positive year as our sales figures show. In addition we’ve had the exciting developments of the launch of William Wilson Express and our Sensations brand, and the opening of the new showrooms.

“We are now firmly established as Scotland’s leading bathroom supplier and look forward to providing ever better service to our customers in 2008.”

The company’s plans for 2008 include a focus on renewable energy heating solutions in order to position itself as the leading company for renewable energy heating in Scotland.
