Ventilations systems manufacturer Nuaire has taken a step forward in its environmental credentials.
The company has become the first ventilation manufacturer in the UK to achieve the Carbon Trust Standard, an award for organisations that can provide evidence of measuring, manufacturing and reducing their carbon footprint against the strictest criteria.
The Carbon Trust Standard is an acknowledgment that an organisation has taken real affirmative action to reduce the direct impact of climate change. It is independent, credible and universally trusted as it focuses on results, not just good intentions, and on long-term strategies for change.
Nuaire has been working in partnership with the Carbon Trust for the past five years to significantly reduce the environmental impact of its sites and supply chain. It is committed to regular environmental audits to ensure it continues to achieve the highest possible standards, measuring, monitoring and reducing its energy usage, targeting CO2 reduction and providing new targets for sustainability.
