Timber merchant North Yorkshire Timber has appointed Rob Timmens as sales director.
Timmens was previously branch development director, responsible for managing six of NYT’s branches, and has worked in the timber industry for over 25 years.
He joined the company in 2005 as manager of NYT’s Northallerton branch, and progressed to branch development director in 2008, before his appointment as sales director in 2010.
Timmens’ appointment follows Nick Kershaw’s promotion from sales & marketing director to managing director in 2009.
In his new role, Timmens will be responsible for managing sales of NYT’s full product portfolio, which includes a comprehensive selection of timber products, ranging from hardwoods and softwoods, roof trusses and engineered joists, to fencing, decking, hardwood flooring and doors.
