He is succeeded by Kevin Gunn, who steps up from the post of northern sales manager.

Norman joined the then Rettig Heating in 1986, becoming the European radiator giant’s first ever English employee. In the following 22 years Norman progressed through the company; presiding over both the launch of the celebrated Compact radiator, currently the world’s best selling compact radiator; and the smooth transition from the Rettig to the Purmo name.

He looks back fondly on his time. “It is gratifying to leave the Purmo brand in such good shape as a well respected and trusted name in the industry, although I will miss the camaraderie of colleagues and our merchant clients.” Norman plans to use his new found freedom to indulge his lifelong passion for photography. “In future I’ll only get up early for a great shot of the dawn!” he adds.
