NMBS launch online training resource

The National Merchant Buying Society (NMBS) have launched the NMBS On-line Academy – the bespoke online e-learning training resource for builders merchants.

NMBS launch online training resource

The Academy has been developed in partnership with Cortexa – the e-learning specialists to the construction industry

The NMBS On-line Academy provides a one stop environment for health & safety, technical and sales support based training. It is available on a subscription basis to the entire NMBS membership, enabling access to high quality online learning to independent merchants who are looking for a way to skill up their workforce in the most cost effective way possible.

The On-line Academy provides a support tool to both branch manager and learner, allowing instant anytime, anywhere access to their own customised learning toolkit.

Managers can allocate and observe the learning of their staff remotely and securely, allowing them to run reports on the overall performance of their team’s progress.

With the learning content accessible at work and a wide and varied catalogue of material, training in the workplace becomes more engaging and more accessible.

Chris Hayward, managing director of NMBS, says: “With increasing competition for a much more cautious and demanding customer our merchants need every single member of their team performing at the top of their game. Our Academy will give companies the sales skills and product knowledge to go out and attack the current market head on.”

Mark Parrish, Managing Director of Cortexa, adds: “We have long been an admirer of NMBS’s market approach and energy and are proud to partner with them on this prestigious project.”

The Academy is now available and accessible at www.nmbs.co.uk. For more information about the NMBS or the Online Academy, contact Vicky March on 0116 261 4914 or email vicky.march@nmbs.co.uk.
