NMBS cancels 2021 Dinner Dance

The Covid-19 pandemic has caused a further event to be cancelled. Independent builders merchant buying group NMBS has announced the cancellation of its 2021 Dinner Dance.

The event is regarded as one of the best social events in the industry, and usually sees 1200 guests come together at the Grosvenor House Hotel, London for an evening of dancing, live entertainment, and dinner.

NMBS managing director Chris Hayward said today (March 23): “Despite our best efforts to plan and organise for the event, we are not for very understandable reasons, able to commit to hold the event with the usual pre-dinner drinks reception and live entertainment and dancing.

“After careful consideration of all possible options, we have taken the decision to cancel the NMBS 2021 Dinner Dance due to take place on Saturday 30th October.

“Clearly, we are very disappointed to have to cancel our event again this year, however we believe that under the circumstances this represented the best way forward.”

The next date set for the annual event is Saturday October 22 2022.
