Newport building firm opens builders merchant

Green Hill Construction, which is based in Newport, has opened its first builders’ merchant.
The construction company has taken on a 9,900 sq ft warehouse and trade counter with accompanying yard on a 1.5-acre plot at Hepworth Park in Pontyclun, Rhondda Cynon Taf.

Green Hill will employ nine members of staff at the premises, which will supply both building and roofing products to trade customers and the general public.

Craig Harcombe, area manager of Green Hill Merchants, said the company intends to open further branches stretching from West Wales to the M4 corridor in time. “The time is right to step into supporting the South Wales building trade, and we will be supplying everything to construct a building from its foundations to the finished item.”
