He joins the team having spent the last eight and a half years with independent merchant Nicholls & Clarke in Chadwell Heath.

Tim Rowbottom, managing director, said he was delighted to welcome Atlee to Collier & Catchpole.

He said: “As an independent family-owned business, we particularly recognise the importance of recruiting the right people; not just people that can do the job but also those who will embrace the established values and culture of the company and have the promise to be part of Collier & Catchpole’s future. We believe that Tony, with his experience, energy and enthusiasm is a perfect addition to the team.”

London-born Atlee, who started working for the merchant at the beginning of January, said he is happy to set up to the challenge.

“I was attracted to the role for a number of reasons,” he said.

“I knew I wanted to be part of a family-run business with traditional values. I like how Collier & Catchpole value its customer base and service levels; it is a business going through a period of growth and diversification and I know I will enjoy being part of the team making it all happen.”
