Stephen Timms has been appointed the Minister for construction in the new Department for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform (DBERR).
Currently the Member of Parliament for East Ham, Mr Timms is also the Minister for competitiveness for the DBERR, with responsibility for enterprise, growth and business development and business sectors including construction, manufacturing and steel.
His brief also takes in corporate social responsibility, companies House and “Shareholder Executive general oversight with specific responsibility for the Industrial Development Unit”.
