New builders merchant joins BMF

The Deepings Trading Company operate from a 600sq m purpose-built depot on the Spitfire Park industrial estate, in Market Deeping and started up earlier this year.

Operations director Ian Greenfield said that membership of BMF will allow the company to increase their service levels thanks to BMF’s range of services such as industry training and apprenticeships, product and business support: “This means that our customers can be confident that they will receive a quality product and a quality service from expert staff,” he said.

BMF Training Services has been awarded Grade 2 recognition as a High Quality provider by the Government Adult Learning Inspectorate. Training covers Modern Apprenticeships as well as regional and in-company courses on a wide range of product knowledge, health and safety, transport and management development subjects. This is in addition to nationally recognised trade diplomas and NVQs.

Greenfield added: “We feel strongly that there is a niche market in the Deepings and surrounding areas for a quality builders’ merchant, which can work in partnership with developers, subcontractors and tradesmen to help them become more cost effective. We can achieve this by providing them with a combination of a central location, commitment to stock, clear and consistent pricing and a knowledgeable and flexible approach to their needs. Membership of a prestigious trade organisation like the BMF will ensure that we continue to do just that.”
