Builders merchant N&C Building Materials hosted a St George’s Day Family Fun Day celebration at its Barking premises.
The 6 acre premises on Freshwater Road, off Whalebone Lane was transformed into a children’s wonderland, with a dragon-themed bouncy castle, inflatable pole jousting, bungee run, face painting, balloon modelling, cake decorating, tombola, penalty shootout, barbeque and raffle.
The event aimed to raise awareness of Children Today, a charity that helps local families with disabled children in need of specialised equipment.
David Forbes, CEO of the Nicholls and Clarke Group said: “Our St George’s Day celebration was a success. Not only was the weather on our side, community spirit was high, everyone had a great time and together we raised £409.67 for Children Today.”
This is the second year that N&C Building Materials has hosted a St George’s Day event.
