Independent builders merchants buying group, National Buying Group LLP, has launched a bespoke, multi-business, electronic trading hub.
The web based Trading Hub allows for the constant detailed analysis of all 80 NBG partner businesses and their purchases from over 240 approved suppliers.
Executive chairman, Allan Durning, said that NBG have worked closely with IT partners Blue Rock Systems, and buying societies Unimer and NMBS, to produce one seamless platform for the evaluation of all of the NBG spend.
“Allowing our category management teams this level of information allows for much more dynamic management of our deals and our purchasing” he said. “This will help ensure our partners remain as competitive in the market place as they always have been.”
The Hub, which routes all partner invoicing information, also includes a full discussion forum and a knowledge base, enabling both suppliers and NBG staff to contribute towards a greater level of shared knowledge and experience, for the benefit of all partners and ultimately their end customers.
Blue Rock Systems’ Glen Jewell, said that the specifications for the Hub were extended several times during the course of the project, as the NBG team began to realise how much they could actually achieve.
“We are delighted that we are now going live and look forward to working with the NBG Partnership as they begin to use, and therefore further enhance, The Trading Hub.”
