NBG showcases online sales skills

Online selling success was the focus for the latest marketing forum held by NBG, the independent builders merchant buying group.

The largest ever gathering of NBG marketing professionals, the forum aimed  to inform, demonstrate and debate the issue of online selling for independent merchants.

The group, comprising marketeers from the UK’s leading independent builders merchants, heard talks from merchants who had tackled this issue successfully in a variety of ways.

“Sharing best practice lies at the very heart of the NBG community ethos,” says NBG managing director, Nick Oates. “Four independent merchants of different sizes, locations and business profiles shared their experiences and successes with fellow merchants in an open forum. I believe that every Partner that was present will have come away with new ideas, different perspectives, and a few preconceptions about online selling demolished.”

Future NBG marketing events, open to marketing professionals in NBG merchant member companies, will cover topics such as sharing local marketing initiatives, maximising product promotions and the Self Build market. Members can find details of the next session on NBG’s pioneering business Hub – the online business facility exclusively for NBG Members and Suppliers.
