NBG renews water fittings contract

Independent builders merchant buying group NBG LLP has renewed its contract for supply of water mains fittings with Plasson.

Since the buying group’s switch to a system of category management for negotiating deals, a number of new arrangements have been struck.

Plasson will remain as the exclusive supplier of water mains fittings within the group’s 242 nationwide outlets for a further two years.

Allan Durning, Executive Chairman at NBG LLP says: “NBG and Plasson have had a successful partnership for a significant period of time, which we are keen to continue in the future. We strongly believe that product continuity is important to end users and so are working with Plasson to maintain supply of the highest quality, approved products for our customers.”

Category Chairman for NBG Nigel Higgins says: “We have a wonderful long-term partnership with Plasson who are the market leader within the industry. Renewing our contract with the company is great for the future of NBG and its customers.”

The National Buying Group for independent builders merchants has 78 member companies comprising of 242 outlets nationwide and a collective turnover of more than £750m.
