Independent builders merchant MKM has made its furthest move from its Hull heartland with the opening of a branch in Kent.

The Hull-based company now has 38 branches throughout the UK
It has taken a year to set up the branch, which officially opened to the trade and public on Monday June 25.
MKM Deal will be run by branch directors Andy Davies and Tom Rose. Davies has over 30 years of industry experience and is a former area manager for a national builders’ merchants. Rose also worked at a national builders’ merchant for 3 ½ years before making the move to MKM. He is a timber specialist.
MKM chief executive David Kilburn said: “We have picked a fantastic group of experts to manage and run MKM Deal. This is our first branch in Kent and our 38th branch in the UK. MKM Deal is the latest branch to open as part of our national expansion strategy and we are delighted to be helping create more jobs for local people.”
