A customer of independent builders merchant MKM Building Supplies is celebrating after winning a van worth £15,000 in a national competition run by building materials company Hanson.
Builder David Richardson, who regularly visits MKM in North Hykeham, Lincoln won a Ford Transit 2.2tdci van, which was the top prize in a competition run at roadshows held at national and independent builders merchants across the country.
The competition supported the launch of Multicem cement in plastic, waterproof packaging. The development means that the product can be stored outside, freeing up valuable space in branch for merchants.
Richardson said: “I am absolutely delighted to have won the van. I have used Multicem for years as it is a great multi-purpose cement and it’s even better in plastic – particularly with the weather we are experiencing.
“To come away with the van was fantastic. It has a huge load capacity and will help me provide a more reliable service to my customers.”
