The transaction, completed on 1st April, brings the company two branches based in Llandudno Junction and Ruthin.

Originally set-up at J Parr, a builders merchant, in Deganwy, North Wales, in 1917, the business was bought from the Joseph Parr group in 1938  by Richard Williams  and then acquired by Martin Stewart in 1971. The business has grown since, under the joint managing directorships of Nigel and Robert Stewart, Martin’s sons. Both will remain with the business for a period of time to assist with the ownership transition.

MKM Building Supplies David Kilburn says: “We have found a like-minded company in Richard Williams (Deganwy) Limited which places the customer at the heart of its business. The team at Richard Williams is highly skilled, has superb product knowledge and a great reputation in the North Wales. We are confident this will be a great asset and look forward to the opportunities ahead.”
