Mira takes Flight prices to new low

Shower manufacturer Mira Showers is lowering the prices of its Flight range of shower trays by up to 50%.

Mira takes Flight prices to new low

The company says the move is in response to lower production costs at its £6m state-of-art factory in Hull. The factory has enabled the company to benefit from advanced production techniques, economies of scale and improved logistics as it is well-placed for motorways and docks.

The new factory opened in 2012 after Mira opted to invest in building the new factory and safeguard UK manufacturing jobs rather than offshore production when the lease ran out on its previous Humberside premises.

Mira says the new facilities have enabled its production team to cut costs and improve efficiency by designing and producing the tooling for production on site.

Trays in the Flight range are made from hard-wearing acrylic resin stone rather than acrylic capped resin stone. As a result they are not only extremely light – up to 20% lighter than equivalent products – but also very tough, resisting chipping and scratches to retain their integrity throughout their life.

BioCote® technology is incorporated into each model in the range to keep unsightly mould at bay and provide lifetime protection against bacteria. Each shower tray is also guaranteed for 10 years and supported by Mira’s best-in-class customer care service.
