Michelmersh Brick launch new terracotta business

Hathern Terracotta is a new terracotta and faience production business from Michelmersh Brick Holdings.
This business will be based at the Company’s specialist hand made works at Charnwood. Charnwood Forest Brick already makes premium specification hand made bricks, including those used in the award winning St Pancras Station.

Production and sale of Hathern Terracotta products has already begun, and is expected to make a positive contribution to the Group in its first full year of production in 2010.

Michelmersh chairman Eric Gadsden said: “We are delighted to have added hand made architectural terracotta and faience under the ‘Hathern Terracotta’ name to our portfolio. Through this extension of our range of high quality specification products, we will meet significant market demand enabling us to broaden our customer base.”
