Merseyside merchant rebrands

A Merseyside timber and builders merchant has been relaunched with a new name and a new focus by its new owner.
The Bootle outlet – previously known as Roger Haydocks – has been rebranded Teroma Trade Supplies by new owner the Sovini Group, with major investments in facilities, machining capabilities and improvements to the shop and offices.

Sovini acquired the merchant earlier this year.

Sovini, which also comprises two housing associations, a developer and a property maintenance services company, said the merchant had been supplying its housing associations One Vision Housing and Pine Court Housing Association for more than seven years.

“We saw Teroma as a great business opportunity, where we could invest in a local business that provides jobs and service to the local community, while also generating financial capacity for our not-for-profit members,” said Sovini chief executive Roy Williams.

“We have specifically diversified into this supply chain that directly supports the housing associations within our group.

“This means that One Vision and Pine Court Housing can access quality supplies at very competitive rates, which demonstrates excellent value for money and achieves VAT and other financial efficiencies.”

Teroma is the primary supplier to Sovini Property Services, proving building materials for its maintenance contract work, while also supplying third parties such as Bramall Construction, North Liverpool Construction and Aintree Racecourse.
