Marley range equates to sales

Since the launch of Equator, the push-fit hot and cold water system from Marley Plumbing and Drainage, the company have seen the range go from strength to strength.

Marley range equates to sales

Equator pipe and fittings are designed for use with both hot and cold and central heating systems for all types of domestic, commercial and light industrial applications.

Manufactured from a high grade engineering plastic, cross-linked polyethylene (PE-X), the system is lightweight, flexible and more cost effective than traditional copper, say Marley.

However, if required, Equator fittings can be used in conjunction with copper pipe. though care should be taken when connecting copper pipe to Equator fittings. A copper pipe insert must be used to safely guide the cut copper pipe end past the o-ring, eliminating any risk of damaging the o-ring from sharp edges.

Available in sizes from 10mm to 28mm, the Equator range also includes a variety of manifolds in two, three and four port options, with and without flow control valves. Plus, a unique grip release mechanism enables fittings to be taken apart using a de-mounting tool, ensuring a re-usable and adaptable fitting.

The principle of the Manifold is simple – to provide a central point for all plumbed in facilities and radiators – either by floor or in one location. This ensures that individual pipe runs can be isolated for extension or maintenance. Combining with a conduit system also allows easy pipe withdrawal especially as Equator PE-X pipe is extremely flexible.

Complying with BS 7291 requirements, the PE-X offers excellent chemical resistance, long-term durability and comes with a 30 year guarantee.
