Makita drills into BMF membership

Global manufacturer of power tools Makita will join the Builders Merchants Federation (BMF) on Wednesday 1st April as a supplier member.
Makita has operated in the UK for over 40 years and has distribution centres throughout the country.

In total, the supplier offers over 500 power tool products and over 4,000 accessories including cordless drill/drivers, cordless combination drills; percussion drills; angle grinders; jigsaws and sanders, as well as a substantial amount of outdoor power equipment.

Barry Smart, national sales manager, Makita (UK) Ltd: “Makita has a close relationship with builders merchants and their customers; our power tools are an essential part of every tradesman’s kit. We are looking forward to playing a full part in the BMF, the leading trade body for the building supply chain.”

John Newcomb, BMF MD: “I’m delighted to welcome Makita to the BMF. Our aim is to represent the interests of every merchant and supplier to the merchanting industry. Companies, such as Makita, that supply equipment for use by the building trade are as much a part of the supply chain as those manufacturing materials for use in construction, and I am looking forward to working with them.”
