Faulks & Cox, based in Barwell, is donating a trailer-load of products to aid in the huge clean-up faced by many residents in the area.

“Having seen the devastation wreaked on hundreds of homes, we felt we really wanted to help out” says managing director Dean Cox. “Flooding is horrible at any time, but just before Christmas makes it particularly heart breaking.

“We watched the news and thought we’ve got a warehouse full of stuff that would help; a no brainer really. The people we met at the fire station had local knowledge and were getting to the nub of the problem; some of their stories and those of the people they were helping only increased our motivation.”

The delivery was made personally by Cox on Tuesday (December 15) to The Old Fire Station in Penrith.
