Lafarge Tarmac offers the VIP treatment for merchants & builders

Cement manufacturer Lafarge Tarmac has launched a UK-wide competition to encourage builders to buy its packed products from their local merchants and to increase footfall in store.

Through the VIP Experience promotion, every builder who purchases a premium cement product in plastic packaging with the iconic Blue Circle branding from a merchant before the end of June can register online to enter the competition.

Three members of staff from the store that sells the winning product will also get to join the lucky winning builder on a VIP experience.

Mike Lomax, marketing communications manager at Lafarge Tarmac, said: “We are hugely excited to launch our new competition. We want to support merchants and reward their loyalty by helping them drive customers to their stores and incentivise them to complete a purchase there and then.

Lafarge Tarmac has also begun rolling out brand new packaging across its whole packed product range. The updated design continues to use the familiar yellow as a base colour and includes the famous blue circle motif in its centre. Additionally, each specific product uses a distinct colour to set itself apart from the rest of the range, such as blue for Mastercrete, red for Postcrete and green for extra-rapid cement. Both bagged products and the popular tubs range come in this new design.

“This also provides us with a great opportunity to put the spotlight on our updated bags and tubs that, while having received a sleek new design, still come with the same high-quality products our customers always expect from us,” said Lomax.
