Klober’s Roll-Fix Kit is voted highly

A panel of roofing contractors convened by Klober has voted the company’s Roll-Fix^® ridge and hip kit the easiest to install when compared to five other leading competitor kits. Furthermore, the panel also voted the kit number one in nine out of 10 tests conducted.

The panel of independent roofers was asked to prioritise a number of attributes important to them when installing a dry ridge and hip system. The ease with which the roll was installed over the ridge batten was rated as the most important factor, followed by how strong the protection foil membrane was and how well the roll-formed on to the tiles. Other factors ranked included how well the roll adhered to dry and wet tiles, ventilation and long-term durability.

Further to rating Roll-Fix^® Kit as the easiest to install, the test panel also scored Klober 39% higher than the average score in quality against its competitors, and 29% better than other brands in holding out resisting against weather conditions.

Fixed with a self-adhesive butyl strip which provides a permanently strong bond, Roll-Fix^® Kit is a universal ventilating dry ridge and hip system suitable for ventilating most concrete and clay ridge/hip tiles. Quick and easy to install, with no special tools required, the kit is lightweight, safe and easy to handle.

It is water and wind-resistant, and vapour permeable, delivering ventilation in accordance with BS 5250:2011 + A1:2016 Code of Practice for Control of Condensation in Buildings. It also complies BS 5534: 2014 + A2: 2018 Code of Practice for Slating and Tiling and BS 8612 for a dry fix.
