Kingspan voted ‘most admired company’

Kingspan Group plc has won the 2009 Britain’s Most Admired Company award in the ‘Building Materials & Merchants’ category, for the second year running.
The annual BMAC awards is run by Management Today magazine and the winners are chosen from their rival peer groups and City of London investment analysts

Companies are judged on nine key criteria: quality of management; financial soundness; quality of goods & services, ability to attract, develop & retain top talent; value as a long-term investment; capacity to innovate; quality of marketing; community & environmental responsibility; and use of corporate assets.

Kingspan group finance director Dermot Mulvihill received the award on behalf of the group from Lord Heseltine, chairman of Haymarket Group, publishers of Management Today, at the awards ceremony in Claridges Hotel in London last night.

Mulvihill said: “We are delighted to receive this prestigious award again, which is a tribute to the dedication of staff and management at Kingspan. These are trying times for the industry in general but we believe those companies that remain committed to innovation and quality will be rewarded.”
