With over 30 years’ experience, Oakes joins Keyline from Jewson, where he held the position of branch manager and has previously worked for Burdens, BRB and Hepworth.

He will be responsible managing the pricing of Keyline’s utilities offering to the water, power, telecoms and gas industries, as well as developing the company’s service proposition.

“I couldn’t turn down the opportunity to come and work for Keyline, which has a fantastic reputation across the industry,” said Oakes.

“I’m looking forward to building on the excellent work carried out by the company over the last few years in order to further cement its position as a market leader.”

Gareth Twohey, national utilities manager, Keyline, said: “Keyline’s utilities division continues to go from strength to strength and it is important that we have the right people in place to help the business grow even further.

“John has a wealth of experience within this sector and he will be a real asset to the team.”
