Builders merchant Keyline has named its Milton Keynes site as Branch of the Year after it recorded year-on-year growth in sales for 2013.
The Buckinghamshire-based merchant received plaudits for its safety record over the past year, with not a single Lost Time Injury (LTI) recorded during 2013 and the judging panel was also impressed by the spirit and engagement of the 12-man team.
Kieran Griffin, managing director, Keyline, said: “Milton Keynes Keyline had an impressive 2013 and the team deserves recognition for its performance. On top of fantastic financial results, the branch has prioritised developing an overall safety culture, which forms an important part of the Keyline philosophy. The sales team possess a strong wealth of knowledge and the workforce includes very experienced yard staff and drivers.”
Darren Newbury, branch manager for Milton Keynes Keyline, said that the team’s extensive local knowledge and community spirit was a key factor behind their success.
“Milton Keynes is always a busy place and the construction industry is on the up. This includes a number of recent or ongoing projects of note, such as Bletchley Station, the new cinema at MK Dons Stadium and the redevelopment of the old Plaza,” said Newbury.
