Bristol-based independent builders merchant Kellaway Building Supplies drew in over 400 visitors to its trade day last Friday at the Passenger Shed at Bristol Temple Meads.
The Total Trade Event showcased products from more than 50 of Kellaway’s suppliers who provided visitors with exclusive deals on blocks, paint, cement, plasterboard, plaster, tools, timber and much more.
“Presently, we all face a challenging economic climate so we decided to try and boost the local economy by bringing everyone together and offering some fantastic promotions,” said sales development and marketing manager Chris Parker.
“This event was the first of its kind for Kellaway and it gave both suppliers and customers a unique opportunity to speak directly to one another and exchange important information on industry developments,” he added.
Domestic retrofitting organisation Bristol Green Doors were on hand to provide information on how to make homes energy smart, more comfortable, cleaner for the environment and cheaper to heat. Additionally, Local Authority Building Control offered free of charge, bite-sized building regulations updates.
“This was our opportunity to help boost the industry and provide local builders with an edge in preparation for testing times ahead,” says Chris, “and the positive response has proved to us that our customers are stepping up to meet the challenge head on.”
