Operations and commercial director at Kellaway Building Supplies, Sean Morgan completed his first Ironman despite a serious crash earlier this year.
Morgan swam 2.4 miles, cycled 112 miles and ran 26.2 miles to help raise money for Kellaway’s chosen charity, Children’s Hospice South West.
“I was hit off my bike by a motorist while out training” explains Morgan. He suffered serious facial and muscular injuries, but after extensive hospital care and support from family and work, he was able to return to training a few weeks later.
Morgan completed the marathon in 13 hours and 14 minutes, and has exceeded his target of £3000, with current figures at £4,400.
Morgan said: “I am proud to be able to support Children’s Hospice South West and I am delighted Kellaway have been able to get behind the charity and have completed some great fundraising and awareness events, with much more to come in the next few months.”
