The new depot, in Portrack Interchange Business Park, is on a 1.6acre site and has a 15, 000 sq ft warehouse. A bathroom showroom is being added and there will also be a plumbing and heating section and a full landscaping offer.

Martin Jackolins, the new site’s manager said: “The Stockton branch, which is one of ten outlets in the North East, has been purpose built to meet all the requirements of a successful builder’s merchants and is part of a three year-long plan to ensure that JT Dove can fully concentrate on the needs of our retail and trade customers alike.”

Managing director Steve Robinson said the investment is being driven by “JT Dove’s ambitious growth targets and a need to optimise operations so that we remain the regions’ leading building merchants.”
