The team, who are spread across fifteen branches and a head office, have already raised over £2000 so far, with the first cheque for £1,000 having been handed over.

The Toma Fund raise funds for the Teenage Cancer Trust Unit at Newcastle’s RVI hospital. JT Dove managing director Steve Robinson, said: “We have chosen the Toma Fund as quite a few of our members of staff have been touched by cancer in one way or another over the last few months and this campaign raises funds for teenage cancer.

“It has obviously struck a chord with all of JT Dove’s employees as they have been holding fancy dress days, washing vans and doing sponsored walks already to raise funds.

“Well done and thank you to everyone who has contributed so far, I am confident that even in these times of financial uncertainty we will be able to hit our target of £5000.”

Launched just over a year ago, the Toma Fund was set up in memory of Jordan Thompson who passed away in 2007 aged just 15.
