Builders merchant chain Jewson have set up a partnership with Corby Borough Council to provide all their building materials requirements for the council’s maintenance programme across its 8,500 housing stock.

The partnership should reduce the council’s costs by 11% through a ‘one-stop-shop’ approach which includes ready access to all timber and building materials, as well as plumbing and heating equipment, supplied via sister company Graham, stock management and invoice consolidation.
There will be a dedicated trade counter specifically for the council.
Angela Warburton, Corby Borough Council’s Assistant Chief Executive, says: “It was important for the Council to deliver value for money without affecting the quality of both product and service delivery. We also wanted to streamline the volume of incoming invoices and their associated administration costs.”
