Jewson launches hunt for Green Genius at Ecobuild

Builders merchant Jewson is holding a live competition at the Ecobuild show next week to try to find the ‘greenest’ person they can.
The company’s stand – 2333- will play host to The Green Question, a live quiz where visitors will be put in the spotlight and given two minutes to answer multiple choice questions focussing on sustainability within the built environment.

A leader-board on the stand will display the best scores and give each contestant an “eco-rating”. The Green Question will be streamed on the internet allowing friends and colleagues of the contestant not attending the exhibition to watch the performance live. Those unable to get to the Ecobuild exhibition will also have the chance to demonstrate their knowledge by taking on the challenge of an on-line version of The Green Question in the week leading up the exhibition.

The winners will win a trip to Finland, courtesy of UPM where they will see the latest sustainable forestry harvesting, milling and production of sustainable hardwood faced Wisa®-Twin plywood in action.

Bradley Moore, marketing services director at Jewson says: “Whilst The Green Question is a bit of fun it does have a serious message – the increasing importance of a thorough knowledge and understanding of the ever growing number of new products, methodologies and legislation within our industry. Our aim at Jewson is to help customers understand and comply with all the new and existing environmental regulations and legislation. The Green Question helps us to do this in a light-hearted way.”
