Jewson just got quicker in London

Builders merchant Jewson has linked up with Shutl, the internet start-up delivery service to offer what it says is the world’s fastest, most convenient delivery service from six of its London branches.
The partnership will enable Jewson‘s customers in London to order from a participating local branch – either in person or by phone – and get their orders delivered in as little as 90 minutes, or within a convenient 1-hour delivery window of their choice.

Participating branches so far are Croydon, Walton-on-Thames, Fulham, Kentish Town, Romford and Wembley, with Shutl delivering to qualifying postcodes in and around the M25.

“As a business, Jewson have a clear understanding of their customers’ needs and a history of innovating to serve those needs,” said Tom Allason, founder and CEO of Shutl.

“With Shutl they have offered a unique service aimed at improving the productivity of builders out on a job, giving them what they want, when they want it. The bar’s been raised for the rest of the industry.”

Jewson marketing director David Fenton said: “We undertook research with Jewson customers in London to ascertain the day to day issues they face whilst working on site. Running out of product and material coupled with traffic congestion and parking restrictions were top of the list – our exclusive partnership with Shutl will help to address this allowing the customer more time on the job.”
