Jewson have launched their own-brand range of power tools across all 500 branches across the UK, which they say are equal to or better than the branded alternatives in the same price bracket.
The complete range includes an 18V combi drill, 14.4V drill driver, 14.4V impact and collated autofeed driver, 3.6V screwdriver, 190mm circular saw, 115mm angle grinder and 1/4 sheet palm sander. Prices for individual items range from £16.99 for the 3.6V screwdriver, to £234 for a 14.4V impact and collated autofeed driver.
Jewson procurement director Steve Parkins said of the decision, which is unlikely to be popular with power tool manufacturers already supplying Jewson: “We decided to launch our own range of power tools to offer customers a core range of products designed specifically for the trade.
“The range combines great performance with great value by providing an equivalent or better specification than branded alternatives at a similar price.”
