Builders merchant Jewson has completed the successful integration of 98 branches of rival builders merchant Build Center.

Jewson acquired the Build Center business from Wolseley UK in November 2011.

33 of the new branches have been added to both the North of England and London and South East regions. As part of the integration sixteen new Tool Hire branches have also opened with more scheduled for the next few weeks and there are 11 new George Boyd architectural ironmongery branches. have been unveiled.

Jewson managing director Peter Stringer said: “This is the largest acquisition and integration of a builders’ merchant business in the UK for over a decade. We now look forward to providing an even better service to our trade customers through our increased presence and wider product offering.”
