The TV programme highlighted the problems with an extension at a two-up, two-down cottage where a mother and her son lived. After paying out £20,500, the owner of the property was left with a shell of a house with no electricity, no gas, no kitchen and no bathroom instead of the planned extension.

Jewson’s Fleet branch provided plasterboard, timber, breather membrane, building sand, cement and mortar plasticiser to help ensure the project could be completed to a high standard and on time.

Branch manager Liam Buckley said: “It was fantastic to get involved in such a great project and knowing the transformation this project will make to the family. Furthermore, having a visit from Melinda Messenger was a great finish to the whole project.”
