Jewson goes above and beyond National Living Wage

Jewson has announced plans to increase its employees’ wages ahead of the Government’s introduction of the National Living Wage later this year.

The National Living Wage will be brought into effect from 1st April 2017 and will replace the minimum wage for over 25s. However, Jewson has decided to go beyond the Government’s mandatory increase and pay all employees over the age of 21 at least £7.80 per hour, rather than the required £7.50.

Plumbers merchant Graham and other sister companies within the Saint-Gobain group will also be following suit.

It was a no-brainer to extend our wage increase to over 21s too.”
