Jewson have announced they are providing Chain of Custody (CoC) timber and timber products to Redrow Homes in a move that reflects the construction industry’s growing demand for sustainable building solutions.

The Chain of Custody process tracks timber through each stage of the supply chain from forest to the final point of purchase. This provides a level of transparency and traceability that guarantees compliance with the demand for ethically sourced timber products.

Jewson supply Redrow with a diverse range of timber products including sawn carcassing such as skirting and architrave, as well stud partitions, doorstops, curtain battens, soffits, fascias and plywood.

Environmental and quality director for Jewson, Steve Millward, comments: “If the construction industry is to reduce the negative impact that it has on the environment there must be a shift away from the purchase of non-certified products. Jewson supply CoC timber and timber products at more than 150 of the company’s 500 branches. Products include structural timber, machined softwood, temperate hardwoods, MDF mouldings, I-Joists, roof trusses,
