Jewson dances for children’s charity

The North Yorkshire branches of builders merchant Jewson, took to the dance floor at a charity evening to raise money for the charity Barnardo’s.

More than 120 staff and partners from the Whitby, Scarborough, Pickering, Malton, Bridlington, Driffield, York, Thirsk, Northallerton, Ripon, Harrogate and Wetherby branches attended the event, which featured live stand up comedy and music.

The evening, including a raffle and auction raised £1,148.

The evening also included the annual Jewson Area Awards, presented by Area Director Martin Coates, which recognised staff and branches for their hard work and achievements over the past 12 months.

Dave Usherwood, Manager at the Jewson Malton branch, organised the party. He said: “It was great to see everyone having such a great time while doing their bit for charity. I’d also like to say a special thank you to Flamingoland, who are one of our biggest customers, and who really helped make it such a good night.”
